42CrMo4 hard chrome piston rod introduction
Executive standard for 42CrMo4 round steel bar: EN 10083/3-2006, US's AISI code 4140 steel improved variety. The steel is characterized by good machinability, easy polishing and texturing, capable of electroplating.
Features
High strength and hardenability, good toughness, less deformation during the quenching, high creeping strength and persistent strength when the temperature is high. Used for manufacturing of the forgings which require higher strength than 35CrMo steel and larger tempering cross-section.
